Director, KL (Kelly) Cullom, approached me with a this exciting project: to design and paint an "urban art" mural as part of the set for her upcoming play The Drunken City at Theatre Vertigo in Portland, OR. She was looking for a gritty, graffiti and tag filled wall that emulated this line from the play:
The city's like a monster. Like a sleeping dragon or some dragon or some dark creature in the night that cracks open an eye, it just stares at you and dares you to come closer to it, to look down its dark streets, says "Come here" and whispers dark dangerous dark ideas into your ear.
LOVED working with these creative people!

Thank you to everyone involved, and especially to the inspiring, KL (Kelly) Cullom, for asking me to participate and trusting me to actualize her vision for this play.
Also, a nod of special thanks to Carl Hamilton for the amazing painted sidewalk and sky...AND the informative conversation.
